The police have arrested a man from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh for allegedly trying to commit bigamy.
Virsen was arrested from his marriage ceremony after a woman claiming to be his legal wife came up to the pandal with an eight-month-old child, Deputy Superintendent of Police Jai Prakash Yadav said on Monday. Rina claimed she tied the knot with Virsen two years ago.
Virsen beat the woman for claiming to be his wife, he said.
Six others attending the marriage were also arrested, Yadav said.
