Bengaluru cops detain four for IPL blasts

The Bengaluru police are questioning four personsĀ in connection with blasts that took place outside the Chinnaswamy stadium on Saturday. Sources told rediff.com that the police tracked down four men to Hubli in Karnataka on Tuesday and have detained them for questioning in connection with the case.

The police team acting on a tip off headed first towards Koppal near Hubli but later tracked them down to a hotel in Hubli.

The booking at the hotel was made in the name of Irfan and Sunil Rao. It is said that the four persons belonged to Ghaziabad. They are currently being questioned for their alleged role in the Bengaluru blasts case.

Dr Ajai Kumar Singh chief of the Karnataka police had said earlier during the day that they had found some evidence with regard to the case and they are working on the same. He had also said they are ascertaining whether it was the handiwork of a terrorist outfit or a betting lobby.
