Sameer Hussain, son of famous beautician Shahnaz Hussain, died after falling from his sixth-floor apartment at Exhibition Road under Gandhi Maidan police station on Monday.
The police said Sameer was rushed to a local nursing home, where he was declared dead.
His body had been sent for postmortem. However, the matter is under investigation to ascertain whether it is a case of suicide, murder or accident.
Sameer was staying alone in the flat and looking after his mother's business, the police added.
