The Congress on Tuesday made significant gains in the assembly elections, dealing a body blow to the Bharatiya Janata Party in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan and was locked in a cliffhanger in Madhya Pradesh.
The party won 99 seats in Rajasthan and 57 in Chhattisgarh according to the latest trends. It won 107 in 230-member MP assembly. It was leading in seven seats in MP and 11 seats in Chhattisgarh till the latest reports came.
In Telangana and Mizoram, on the other hand, Telanagana Rashtra Samiti and Mizo National Front secured decisive victories respectively.
