Teji Bachchan, mother of superstar Amitabh Bachchan, was on Tuesday admitted to Leelavati Hospital in Bandra in suburban Mumbai, for a string of health related problems.
"Teji Bachchan (86) was admitted to the hospital in the afternoon and we are carrying out various medical tests to investigate her health problems," a spokesperson of the hospital told PTI.
"She has lower back pain, pain in the leg and intestinal infection," the spokesperson said. She would be put through an MRI test and a test for the colon.
She was accompanied by among others her daughter-in-law Jaya Bachchan and grandson Abhishek Bachchan.
