The government today extended the term of the Liberhan Commission probing the demolition of the Babri masjid in Ayodhya in 1992, till March 31 next year.

A notification issued by the Union home ministry said, 'It has been decided that the said commission will submit its report on or before March 31, 2005'. Its term was originally to expire on September 30, 2004.
