Asaduddin Owaisi arrested in Bidar

Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen MP Asaduddin Owaisi has been arrested by the Bidar police for violating the election code of conduct. His party has fielded candidates for the urban local body polls in Bidar and Basavakalyan in Karnataka.

Owaisi was addressing a rally in Bidar and the allegation was that he had not sought permission of the returning officer.

He concluded his address at Basavakalyan and was detained while passing through Humnabad.

Currently Owaisi is in the custody of the Humnabad police.
