14 pilgrims killed in AP road accident

A truck collided with a jeep on a highway 120 km from Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh on Monday, killing 14 pilgrims on their way to a Muslim shrine, police said.

Those killed included three couples and three children, superintendent of police B L Sujata Rao said.

They were going to a Muslim religious shrine in Nizamabad district, he said.

The powerful head-on collision killed all 14 people, including the jeep driver, on the spot, police said.
