The Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly was adjourned on Tuesday with out transacting any business as members of Telangana Rashtra Samiti stalled the proceedings demanding that the House should adopt a resolution on formation of a spereate Telangana state.

Earlier the Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy rejected the adjournment motions of TRS, Bharatiya Janata Party, Praja Rajyam Party and the Communist Party of India relating to the issue of Telangana and ongoing agitation on the issue. When he wanted to take up the other issues on the agenda, TRS members chanted slogans of Jai Telangana stalled the house. They also waved pro-Telangana placards.

TRS flood leader E Rajinder asked the Speaker how the House could discuss issues like floods and drought when Telangana was in turmoil and blood was being shed on campus by the police.  "If you don't pass the resolution on Telangana state immediately, Congress MLAs will not be able to come out of their homes from tomorrow," he said.

After adjourning the House twice for short while and appealing to the members to allow the proceedings, the speaker  finally adjourned the house till Wednesday.  Another TRS MLA T Harish Rao tore his placard and threw its pieces at the speaker's chair.

Outside the House the lobbies of assembly also echoed with the slogans of Jai Telangana. In response the MLAs from other regions shouted slogans of Jai Andhra and Jai Rayala Seema.

Meanwhile the doctors at the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences said that the condition of TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao was stable and his vital health parameters were normal. Briefing the media on Tuesday morning, director NIMS, D Prasad Rao said that Rao was normal. Tuesday is the 10th day of Rao's fast unto death in support of the demand for a sepereate Telangana state.

On the other hand a senior leader from coastal Andhra and former home minister Vasantha Nageshwara Rao also extended his support to the demand for Telangan state. After meeting KCR at the hospital on Monday morning, Rao said that Telangana has to be formed because the sentiments were very strong and it was a long pending demand of the people. He said that after formation of Telangana state decision can be taken what to do about other demands like separate Rayala Seema.

TRS leader E Rajinder announced that the party will not allow the state assembly to function unless it passed a resolution in support of Telangana. "Telangana has turned in to volcano and there is no question of remaining silent now. We will not allow any proceedings in the assembly till our demand is met", he told the media after the assembly was adjourned.

Alleging that the state Home Minister P Sabita Indra Reddy was being humiliated by others in government as she hails from Telangana, Rajinder urged her to resign and join the movement for Telangana. Reminding her that her husband late P Indra Reddy had fought for Telangana, he told Sabita, "you can bring peace to his soul by joining the movement".

He also urged the other MLAs and MPs of Congress to resign as Congress leadership has not no respect for Telangana.
