A pall of gloom has descended at the house of G Prashant who was shot dead on Sunday evening by unidentified robbers at a food store in Oklahoma city in the United States. Prashant's family wishes that the body of their beloved be brought back to the city at the earliest.
The parents and family members on Tuesday requested the authorities--both in India and US--to make necessary arrangements to bring back the body soon. Prashant (28), a B Com graduate, of Santoshnagar here had gone to the US about two-months ago to pursue MBA and had taken up a part-time job in a convenience store three days ago.
The incident is reported to have occurred on Sunday evening when two men walked into the store as customers, stole the cash and gunned down Prashant.
"We got information about Prashant's death only from his friends. So far, authorities (from Centre and state) have not communicated us about the incident. We don't even know whom to approach to bring back the body," the grieving father G Rajaiah, who works in the State Health Department, said.
"We have information that some black youths pumped five bullets in Prashant's body," according to Chandrasekhar, his cousin. Prashant's sister and mother were inconsolable and said, "It was only on Sunday morning Prashant phoned us saying he got a job. We don't have any more information how all this (incident) happened."
