Noted filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt on Saturday said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had assured him of looking into the matter after the former had in a missive to him alleged improper handling of the American terror suspect David Headley case and thus projecting his son in bad light.
"I am very happy that the prime minister has replied to my letter within 24 hours in positive. Now I am confident that everything would fall in line," said Bhatt.
Bhatt said the letter which he received on Saturday, contained the reply on behalf of prime minister by his personal assistant Jaideep Sarkar and read, "Prime Minister has told me that to acknowledge your letter and Home Ministry is being asked to looked into the matter."
Bhatt last week had written a letter to the prime minister alleging that the officials probing the David Coleman Headley case had selectively leaked information about Rahul to media, which projected his son in a wrong way.No clean chit yet for Rahul Bhatt: Sources
