AP governor's dinner diplomacy for Telangana panel

Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan is resorting to dinner diplomacy to avoid any last minute misunderstandings and to pave the way for smooth meeting of the first sitting of of the Justice Srikrishna Committee on Telangana.

Narasimhan will host a dinner for Justice Srikrishna  on Thursday, March 4, at the Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad, a day prior to the first meeting of the Consultative Committee on Andhra Pradesh.

The governor has invited Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah, Opposition Leader N Chandrababu Naidu, Telangana Rashtriya Samiti leader K Chandrasekhar Rao, Chiranjivi and five other leaders of political parties represented in the Andhra assembly, to attend the dinner.

Other invitees include members of the panel Professor Ranbir Singh, vice chancellor of the Delhi -based
National Law University, Dr Abusaleh Shariff, senior research fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute in
Delhi, Dr Ravinder Kaur, professor at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT-Delhi, and Former Home Secretary Vinod K Duggal, beside the chief secretary and director general of police.
