Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday left for Delhi, where he is expected to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi and possibly discuss an expansion of his cabinet and Telangana, among other issues.

There has been speculation that the chief minister would induct only two legislators of erstwhile Praja Rajyam Party into his cabinet.

It is speculated that the cabinet re-jig may take place anytime between January 21 and 28, subject to the approval of the high command.

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana also flew to Delhi amidst reports that he might be divested of one of the posts -- state Transport Minister or Pradesh Congress Commitee head -- under the 'one-man-one-post' principle.

On the other hand, legislators from Telangana are building pressure on the chief minister and the PCC president to fill the two "vacancies" caused by the resignation of incumbent ministers from the region to restore the regional balance of one-third cabinet berths for Telangana.

The chief minister is likely to meet All India Congress Committee president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday after she returns from campaigning in Uttarakhand.

Kiran Kumar is reportedly in favour of a total revamp of the cabinet by dropping some ministers and inducting a few new faces, including those from erstwhile PRP of actor-MLA K Chiranjeevi.

Chiranjeevi wanted three cabinet berths -- one from each region of the state -- for his group of MLAs. But the chief minister is reportedly ready to concede only two slots and the former is said to have agreed to it.
