Surface-to-air missile Akash was test-fired from a mobile launcher from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur-on-sea in Orissa's Balasore on Friday, defence sources said.
The multi-target missile with a range of 25 km was test-fired at 1430 IST, they added.
The missile hit a 'para-barrel target', the sources said.
