IAF plane crashes, 2 killed

Two Indian Air Force officers were killed when a 'Canberra' bomber crashed near Jithora village, about 30 km from Agra on Monday.

Those killed were identified as Squadron Leader Berry and Flight Lieutenant Sharma, Agra District Police Chief Rajiv Krishna told UNI over phone.

The fighter plane was on a routine sortie.

Meanwhile, a search operation was underway and the debris was being cleared, he added.

Other details of the crash were being gathered, Krishna said.
