'Soldier' Sidhu rushes to 'General' Advani

Among the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders who went to L K Advani's residence on Thursday trying to persuade him to withdraw his resignation as party president, was cricketer-turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, who described himself as a loyal solider to "General" Advani.

Known for his inimitable one-liners, Sidhu told reporters that he was a soldier who would "loyally serve his General (Advani)."

"I am with him and at his service" he said.
