Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani alongwith Uma Bharti is scheduled to visit Somnath temple on Saturday, party sources said.
Advani and Bharti are expected to arrive at Keshod airport in Junagadh district on Friday evening from where they will leave for Somnath, sources said adding they will offer prayers at the temple on Saturday morning.
Advani had taken out his famous rath yatra from Somnath to Ayodhya in 1990. The yatra had commenced on September 25, 1990 and since then Advani has been visiting the temple on its anniversary every year.
Meanwhile, security arrangements at the Somnath temple have been stepped up further and over 260 policemen have been deployed.
