The international community must come up with 'proactive thinking' to deal with suicide bombers, Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani said on Sunday, commenting on the recent suicide bombings in Riyadh and Casablanca.

"I wish these two incidents (Riyadh and Casablanca) triggers off a fresh round of proactive thinking in the international community as to how humanity, civilisation and, more particularly, democracies can really overcome it," Advani said.

He recalled how the international community became vigorously active to think of ways and means to put an end to the evil of terrorism after the September 11 strikes in US.

Terming the Riyadh and Casablanca tragedies as 'unhappy incidents', Advani said these only highlighted that terrorism continued to be a menace for the civilisation.

"Despite the advances in weapon systems," Advani said, "it seems that suicide bombers are the worst ever device conceived of."
