The Union Home Ministry on Thursday said there was no need for a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the Arushi murder case.
The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force is already probing the matter and there is no need for a CBI inquiry, Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal told reporters.
He was reacting to UP Chief Minister Mayawati's decision to recommend the case for a CBI probe.
