The AAP said it will launch a country wide agitation if Centre does not sack External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in the Lalit Modi controversy, Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani in fake degree row and Pankaja Munde, who is facing allegations of corruption.
"The prime minister keeps tweeting. But why is he silent over these issues. Today, four senior BJP leaders are in the line of fire. Sushma Swaraj was once a potential PM candidate, Smriti Irani comes fourth in terms of seniority in the Modi cabinet. Vasundhara Raje has secured a three-fourth majority in last election whereas Pankaja Munde was in the race for chief ministership. So, the PM owes an explanation.
"The way Sonia Gandhi remote-controlled Manmohan Singh, Jhandewalan (RSS office in Delhi) and Nagpur (RSS headquarters) remote-controls Prime Minister Modi," senior AAP leader Ahutosh said.
AAP's Delhi convenor Dilip Pandey said the party will resort to a nation-wide agitation if the BJP does not take action against the three. Trying to seek revenge for the arrest of Delhi's former law minister Jitendra Singh Tomar in the fake degree case, the AAP attacked Irani for her "fake degrees".
"Irani's issue is an open and shut case. Former US president had to go because he was involved in perjury in the Monica Lewinsky case because he lied after taking an oath. Why is the Delhi police not showing the same promptness as it did in Tomar's case?”
"In case of Raje, she aided a fugitive who was trying to seek political asylum. This itself is a fit case for sedition," Ashutosh added.
