'There is a possibility I may not survive this ordeal,' designer Anand Jon told Sharon Waxman of Los Angeles magazine before his trial for sexual abuse last year.

'I have not seen the sky in months -- six, maybe seven,' he wrote in a mail to Waxman. 'Kind of easy to lose track of time and yet be unbearably aware of its existence...'

Jon was sentenced to a minimum of 59

years in prison on Monday by a Los Angeles court.
