Two policemen were killed and seven others injured when unidentified assailants targeted a police vehicle with a bomb in Peshawar on Friday, hours after a suicide attack on a court complex killed 19 people.
Police officials said a police van on routine patrol in the area, under the jurisdiction of Yaqatoot police station, was attacked with a remote controlled bomb shortly after midnight.
Two policeman died on the spot while seven others were injured. The condition of three of the injured was described by officials as critical.
A station house officer was among the injured, they said.
Hours earlier, 19 people, including three policemen, were killed and 50 more injured when a suicide bomber struck a crowded court complex within the Peshawar cantonment.
