Indonesian quake kills dozens: Reports

Dozens of people are reported dead in the earthquake that occurred off the coast of Indonesia.

The quake, which measured 8.2 on the Richter scale - the US Geological Survey said it measured 8.7 - caused extensive damage in Niaz island, south of Sumatra, reports said.

Hundreds of houses are reported to have collapsed in the island's capital, Gumung Sitoli.
