Bihar CM Nitish Kumar bats for reservation in private sector

November 06, 2017

Taking his Mandal politics a step ahead, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday said that he strongly favoured reservations in the private sector.

Five days after the Bihar Cabinet approved reservation in contractual appointments made by the state government through outsourcing, Nitish Kumar said, "There must be reservations in the private sector too".

Nitish Kumar further said that there is nothing wrong in the Bihar government's decision to give reservations in contractual jobs made by the state government through outsourcing. It was done as per the Reservation Act.

According to officials, there will be reservation in appointments of doctors, engineers, teachers and other posts on contractual basis by the state government.
