The truck driver who killed 8 people and injured several others has been identified as Sayfullo Saipov, a 29 year old of Uzbek descent.
The New York Post newspaper
posted a photograph of Saipov being arrested -- he was shot in the abdomen by the police, later underwent surgery and is expected to recover -- by the New York police.
