1 dead in farmers' protest in MP

A farmers' protest at Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh ended in the death of one farmer after police opened fire on protestors. Four protestors were also injured in the firing. The Rashtriya Kisaan Mazdoor Sangh has called for a state-wide shutdown on Wednesday,
Following the clashes, internet services in Mandsaur and adjoining Ratlam and Ujjain, remain suspended.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday said his government is taking all necessary steps to address the issues of agitating farmers. "This government is a farmers' government. All necessary steps have been initiated to address farmers' concerns," PTI quoted Chouhan as saying.
