MoS inductions begin

After the four ministers, the MoS inductions begin. First up is Manikrao Hodlya Gavit, a nine-term Congress MP, who represents Nandurbar in Maharashtra in the 15th Lok Sabha. The 79-year-old was first elected to the lower house in 1981, after which he has been a regular in Parliament. Despite his seniority, he was made a minister, a junior one at that, in the home ministry, in 2004.
