Incidentally, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is now in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a meeting there, he says there are genuine political, social and emotional grievances of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and that the government was trying honestly to address these issues.
Nothing new in that. In fact, it'salmost a repeat of the speech he made at the all-party meet last year at the height of the J&K turmoil.
