Carey feels 'horrible' about Gaddafi gig

March 04, 2011

After Nelly Furtado and Beyonce, singer Mariah Carey has sought to distance herself from Muammar Gaddafi, saying she feels "horrible" to have performed for the Libyan dictator and his family.

The 40-year-old R&B star said she was "embarrassed" over the 2008's four-song set in a private party that took place on St Barts in the Caribbeane.

Carey claims that she did not know who had hired her at that time. The singer, however, stopped sort of pledging the reported USD 1 million that she earned from the gig, to charity.
