Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar in a letter to Defence minister AK Antony has urged him to consider better treatment of armed services personnel and their families.
Citing the UK military covenant -- an agreement under which the state pledges a duty of care towards its military personnel in return for the sacrifices that they make -- the MP asks Antony to apply a similar covenant to India.
