It's the begun: the shaming of Ricky Ponting.
Australia's new skipper Michael Clarke has taken over the captain's suite in a Dhaka hotel, relegating his predecessor Ricky Ponting to a standard room. The official line from Clarke is that his new captaincy post will finally sink in when he leads Australia out for the one-day international against Bangladesh on Saturday.
But he quickly had to come to grips with his new role when the team checked into the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka.
Under the MoU between the competing nations, two hotel rooms are upgraded on every tour for the visitors, which traditionally go to the captain and team manager.
