Reacting to the SIT's summons in connection with Ehsan Jaffery murder case in 2002 riots, the Gujarat government on Thursday said the chief minister will cooperate with the process of law.
"The state government and the chief minister would cooperate with the process of law," Gujarat government spokesperson Jaynarayan Vyas said.
He, however, refused to comment further, saying whatever is required to follow the process of law will be done by the state government.
Acting on the complaint of Zakia Jaffery, widow of slain MP Ehsan Jaffery, the Supreme Court-constituted the Special Investigation Team has summoned Modi, directing him to appear before the authority on March 21.
