Assam: Terrorist outfit kill member's parents

Two old couples were killed by suspected  tribal militants belonging to the Black Widow outfit in two seprate incidents in remote parts of North Cachar Hill district of Assam in the wee hours on Friday.

Police informed that both the couples were parents of two hardcore militants -- Man Dimasa and Gale Dimasa-- of Black Widow group. One of the couples was killed at Macrodisa under Maibong police station and the other couple was killed at Jaramdisa under Diyungmukh Police Station in the insurgency hit hill district.

Police claimed that the killings were a fall out of bitter internal rivalry within Black Widow group over money and position of power.

Meanwhile, Assam police killed two hardcore ULFA militants in two separate incidents  during the last 24 hours. Police shot dead ULFA militant Anupam Gogoi at Ballampur under Bijni Police Station in Chirang district of North Assam this morning.

In another incident, one ULFA militant identified as Ajit Gogoi alias Luit Bora was shot dead by police at Balijan village under Sonari police station in Sivasagar disrict late last night.
