Shashi Tharoor, former United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information and well-known writer, is all set to contest the Lok Sabha elections on a Congress ticket either from Thiruvananthapuram or Palakkad in Kerala.
According to a senior Congress leader from Kerala, Tharoor is seeking ticket from Thiruvananthapuram but some Congress leaders are insisting that he should be given ticket from Palakkad.
A senior party leader, who is close to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, told rediff.com, "Tharoor is our candidate. We will announce his candidature soon."
