Pakistan High Commissioner Shahid Malik met Home Minister P Chidambaram and is understood to have discussed aspects related to the Mumbai terror attacks.
No details were available of the meeting which took place in the backdrop of India's refrain that Pakistan is not officially conveying anything in response to the Mumbai attack evidence.
Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi claimed in Islamabad that Malik updated Chidambaram on the investigation into the Mumbai attacks but External Affairs
Minister Pranab Mukherjee said India had not heard from Pakistan through official channels.
The meeting comes in the wake of reports that Pakistan is set to handover to India a report on the investigation into the dossier on the Mumbai attacks New Delhi had given to Islamabad. Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon had on January five handed over to Malik in New Delhi the dossier containing information, which included confession of Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone Pakistani terrorist held during the Mumbai attacks.
