In a last-ditch effort to patch up, Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan on Monday, held closed-door meeting with rebel Congress leader Narayan Rane who is set to announce his future plans on Tuesday.
Rane drove to
Sagar, Chavan's official residence on Manday for the meeting. However, sources claimed that the meeting was held at the behest of Chavan.
Rane is keeping his cards close to his chest and even his aides did not have any inkling about the outcome of the
meeting.
"Only he (Rane) can say if he is satisfied with the talks he held with Chavan. But, according

to us, he is in no mood to yield to the patch up efforts of the Congress," sources close to the rebel leader told PTI.
