The Supreme Court on Thursday issued fresh directions to the Madhya Pradesh government to provide adequate security to Rubabuddin Sheikh, brother of Sohrabuddin Sheikh who was killed in a fake encounter by the Gujarat
police.
A bench of Justices Tarun Chatterjee and V S Sirpurkar directed the Madhya Pradesh DGP to provide security to
Rubabuddin and his family who are now settled in the state's Ujjain district.
The bench passed the direction after senior counsel Dushayant Dave, appearing for Rubabuddin, alleged that on
January 30 this year plainclothes police personnel barged into Rubabuddin's house and intimidated him and his family.
According to Dave, the incident occurred despite the apex court's direction in September last year to the Madhya
