Six suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorists were on Monday remanded to two days police custody by a Delhi Court in connection with the September 13 serial blasts case.

Mohammed Saif, Zeeshan Ahmed, Saquib Nissar, Zia-ur-Rehman, Mohd Shakeel and Mohd Hakhim were produced before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate who sent them to police custody till February four.

All the six accused, who were in judicial custody after conclusion of their interrogation in connection with the Karol Bagh and Greater Kailash blasts, were today produced in the court after being formally arrested by the special cell in the Connaught Place blasts case.

The special cell submitted that they wanted to quiz them to unravel their role in the case, registered with Connaught Place police station.

Seeking five days custodial interrogation of the accused, the police submitted that they were required to be interrogated for the alleged planning and execution of the blast in the Connaught Place on September 13 which left with three people dead and 34 others injured.

According to the police, Saif along with Zia and Sajid, already killed in Batla House encounter, had planted the bomb in dustbins near Regal Cinema and at Children's Park under the Connaught Place police station while others were involved in the conspiracy.

The contention of the police was on the other hand strongly opposed by the counsel of the accused who submitted that they had already been in police custody in connection with the blast cases and had been interrogated at length by the investigating agency.
