Students Islamic Movement of India, which was rechristened as the Indian Mujahideen, is at it again. The newly-floated wing of the SIMI has claimed responsibility for the Delhi attack and has also warned the next strikes would be at Chennai and Mumbai.

Terrorists have accomplished Operation BAD

Openly challenging investigators and security agencies in their mail, the Indian Mujahideen has stated that next on their target would be the metropolitan cities of Chennai and Mumbai.

The Indian Mujahideen also openly challenged the Cyber Forensics department. In the mail the IM openly challenged the department to intercept their mails. Let us see as to who are the experts, the IM stated in the mail.

Indian Mujahideen claims responsibility

The IM has challenged this department as the Cyber Forensic wing had managed to intercept their mails, which were sent in the aftermath of the Ahmedabad blasts. The IM states that they would continue to strike and have once again challenged security agencies to stop them if they could.

The mail is more or less on the lines of the one sent in the aftermath of the Ahmedabad blasts.

Indian Mujahideen threat is real

Further, the IM also poses a challenge to Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh. The IM has issued this threat since most of their operations were unearthed in Maharashtra as the email was traced back to that state. Moreover, there was a lot of discord about the manner in which several persons were picked up in the aftermath of the blasts in Mumbai.

The mail also mocks the Gujarat government, which had claimed that it had arrested the mastermind behind the Ahmedabad blasts. In the mail they question, 'if the mastermind was arrested, then who has carried out the blasts in Delhi. Leave alone solving the blasts case, the police has not managed to solve even the mystery behind the email that was sent out after the blasts.

Indian Mujahideen is SIMI V2.0

IB sources told rediff.com that Indian Mujahideen has been recruiting tech savvy persons into the outfit since the past one year. The IB says that most of the boys who are recruited into this outfit are from the Hyderabad area and their speciality was to hack into email ids and send out mails.

Safdar Nagori too, in his confession, had said that he had mooted an IT cell for the SIMI as he believed that techies were great planners and more importantly they preferred to keep a very low profile, which worked perfectly well for terror operations.
