Mumbai cops in Bhopal for Malegaon blast probe

A team of Anti-Terrorist Squad of the Mumbai police arrived in Bhopal on Saturday in connection with the probe in the Malegaon blasts amidst reports that the role of two former army officers was being investigated.
    
Two retired army officers are reportedly being questioned by the Mumbai police on Saturday in connection with the Malegaon blasts for which a Sadhvi and a few others have been arrested.
    
More arrests may be possible in connection with the explosions on September 29 in which six persons were killed.
   
However, there was no official confirmation about the detention and questioning in Pune of the two army men, one of them said to be of the rank of a retired Major. The two men were said to be part of a RSS group of ex-servicemen and had allegedly imparted knowledge about

explosives to those involved in the blasts.
   
A three-member team of ATS was in Bhopal continuing their probe following the recent arrest of three men hailing from
Madhya Pradesh in Indore.
    
"The investigations are on. No further arrests have been made till now," police sources said.
    
The team's arrival comes close on the heels of the arrest of Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Shamlal Sahu and
Shivnarayan Gopalsingh Kalsangra, all hailing from Madhya Pradesh and who are suspected to have links with a Hindu right wing group, Hindu Jagran Manch.
    
Sahu, who owned a mobile telephone shop and Kalsangra had started an organisation called the Rashtriya Jagran Manch in Indore.
    
Of these three persons, two were arrested from Indore and the Sadhvi was arrested from Surat in Gujarat.
