The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on Tuesday flayed the
arrest of its leader Raj Thackeray and described the incident as a "shame" for Maharashtra.
"It is a shame on our government who do not utter anything favouring Marathi people...They are not prompt and keen enough
for Maharashtrians," the MNS said in a SMS sent to the media.
"But they have shown their promptness in arresting a man who is struggling for Marathi people only. There cannot be better example of 'Kaliyug'," it said.
Meanwhile, Raj's wife Sharmila has reached the suburban Bandra court where he would be produced after his arrest at Ratnagiri in Konkan region.
