A Hyderabad court acquitted three accused in the murder of Indian Police Service officer K S Vyas following lack of evidence.
Vyas, who was the deputy inspector general of police of the elite anti-naxal squad 'Greyhounds,' was shot dead while jogging inside the Lal Bahadur Stadium in the heart of the city in on January 25, 1993.
A 20-strong gang of suspected naxalites, wearing masks, attacked the police officer and shot him dead from close range.
