A video clip showing MNS chief Raj Thackeray cutting a cake with inscription 'Bhaiyya' (Mumbai slang for north Indians, especially those from UP and Bihar), has landed Raj in fresh trouble.

After TV channels began airing an MMS, which shows Raj slashing away at a large cake with word 'Bhaiyya' in Hindi on his birthday on June 14 this year, the MNS activist, who had presented the cake, said she had used the word 'Bhaiyya' as she treats Raj 'like a brother'.

"I had given the said cake. I am baffled over media digging up the clipping after six months and distorting the meaning of the word", Rita Gupta told PTI.

MNS spokesperson Shirish Parkar said "Raj saheb gets hundreds of cakes on his birthday every year".
