Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari on Friday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of double standards.

"When the Ahmedabad serial blasts case was allegedly cracked, the chief minister of Gujarat and leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha L K Advani did not waste a second in calling press conferences, both in Ahmedabad and Delhi, to pat themselves on the back. The BJP will have to answer as to why it is trying to suppress the investigations into the Modasa blasts? Is it because it would reveal more instances of the involvement of the Sangh Parivar in such activities," he said.

Malegaon Blast Probe

He demanded that the Union government examine the modalities of setting up a Multi Disciplinary Task Force to conduct a detailed investigation into all the blasts, including the Malegoan blast.

Explosive revelations of Lt Col Purohit

The Congress spokesperson claimed that Lieutenant Colonel Purohit has admitted during the narco-analysis test that the terror network had been 'outsourced'. "We would like to know if terror has been outsourced in other places as well. Now the Haryana police has rushed to Mumbai to find out if there are any links between various Hindu outfits and the Indian Mujahideen or the Students Islamic Movement of India.

Answering a question on rebel Congress leader Yogendra Mackwana, Tiwari said that as far as the party was concerned, "the chapter stands closed".
