Till reports last came in, the leaders were holding talks with Yeddyurappa. A final decision may be announced in an hour's time.

If talks succeed, Yeddyurappa is likely to meet state Governor Rameshwar Thakur and stake his claim to form the first independent BJP government in Karnataka.
