May 14, 2008 15:11 IST

The explosives used in Tuesday's Jaipur blasts and the August 25, 2007, Hyderabad blasts were allegedly prepared by experts who were assisting the terror outfit Harkat-Ul-Jihadi Islami, using the same formula, according to top police sources in Hyderabad.

Andhra Pradesh Additional Director General of Police (law and order) AK Khan told media-persons on Wednesday that "the terrorists used improvised explosive devices in the serial blasts in Jaipur."

The material used in the Hyderabad and Jaipur blasts might have some similarities as per the preliminary reports received from the Rajasthan police.

"We will send a team to Jaipur to investigate the  material used in the blasts. After this, the police will come to a conclusion on the similarity between the blasts," Khan added.
