Over 400 Tibetans on Monday gathered at Rangpo checkpost bordering West Bengal in a bid to enter Sikkim, to take their peace march up to the Indo-China border at Nathu La, to express solidarity with their counterparts in Tibet.
"The protesting monks raised anti-China slogans from the other side of Rangpo checkpost in West Bengal and demanded permission to enter Sikkim to take forward their peace march upto Nathu La," checkpost in-charge B B Subba told

Heavy police deployment
has been made at the check post to prevent Tibetan protesters from entering in the Himalayan state territory, he said.
