Struggling hard with the Aarushi murder case, the Central Bureau of Investigation has now approached newspapers and news agencies for handing over photographs of coverage of the twin murder cases involving 14-year-old Aarushi as it conducted a lie detector test on an assistant of Dr Rajesh Talwar.

The CBI shot off letters to newspapers and news agencies this morning asking them to provide the all the photographs -- used and unused -- related to the coverage of the murder case.

The move comes four days after the CBI had approached television news channels for providing the 'unedited' and 'raw' footage of the case.

'It is requested that photographs relating to the scene of crime relating to the first two days coverage till the discovery of the dead body of (domestic help) Hemraj taken by your photographers may be provided urgently to us,' an official communique from the CBI to photo editors said.

This would help the investigating agency 'immensely' in the probe of the case, it said.

In a related development, the CBI conducted lie detector test of Krishna, who used to work as an assistant at the clinic of Talwar, who has been in judicial custody.

The sources said prima facie there seemed to be some deception in the answers but a final opinion would be taken only when the official report would be handed over by the Central Forensic and Scientific Laboratory.

Sources said it was a hard job as some of the evidences had been destroyed before the case came to the agency. The CBI was trying to fill in the missing links and had retrieved some data from the laptop of Rajesh Talwar, accused in the case, and desktop of Aarushi.
