2 CRPF troopers killed in militant ambush in J&K

Two paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force troopers were killed and a civilian injured in a militant ambush at Chak Naira village in south Kashmir's Pulwama disttict late on Wednesday evening.

The police said the militants sprayed bullets from automatic weapons at a patrol party of the 182 Batallion of the CRPF resulting in critical injuries to two constables. The area was cordoned off and searched by the CRPF.

"The constables were rushed to a hospital in Pulwama, where they succumbed to critical injuries," a senior police officer told rediff.com.

One civilian bystander was also injured in the ambush.
