Rs 50 Macbeth that can fetch Rs 1 mn

Ratilal Mancharam Mandali, a school teacher, from Ahmedabad has been offered Rs 2 lakh for his miniature copy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare.

The book, which is 5cm by 3cm by 1cm (length/width/height) consists of 315 pages.

Mandali bought this tiny book from 'Ravivari' or Sunday Market in Ahmedabad for Rs 50 in 1975

not knowing of the potential wealth the pages held.

He is in communication with The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Britain, who reportedly offered him Rs 2 lakh ($4,564) for the book. However, Mandali is unwilling to accept anything less than Rs 10 lakh ($ 22,820) for the minature work.
